Some Conservatives Grow Concerned Over Trump’s Latest Endorsement

While it’s undeniable that an endorsement from Donald Trump typically results in victory for the candidate (100-8 record!), some America First conservatives are expressing concern that the Former President is choosing to prop up the wrong people.

The controversy began when Trump endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania. Dr. Oz is famous for being a regular on the Oprah Winfrey show before starring in his own programs on various networks. He has dual citizenship in the U.S. and Turkey and has voiced support for some questionable progressive ideals in the past.

Pennsylvania has been identified as a key state the GOP hopes to secure in the 2022 midterms. It’s currently being run to the ground by Democrats whose policies have succeeded in transforming it into a drug addicts’ haven.

Endorsing the correct candidate, one that will propel the America First agenda forward in Congress, was of utmost importance.

Cut to today and Dr. Oz secured the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania after Trump’s endorsement and a hand recount of the ballots.

The Former President is making similar waves for his endorsement of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

On Sunday, Trump released a glowing endorsement of the California Republican saying he “is a strong and fearless Leader of the House Republican Conference.”

Questions arose about whether Trump would bestow McCarthy with an endorsement after a bombshell audio recording leaked in which the House Minority Leader considered asking for then-President Trump’s resignation following the Jan. 6 protest.

Recordings of McCarthy speaking with Rep. Liz Cheney revealed McCarthy “seriously thinking” of having a conversation with Trump to recommend that he resign.

“I’ve had it with this guy,” McCarthy added. “What he did was unacceptable. Nobody can defend that, and nobody should defend it.”

Many Trump supporters view McCarthy as a traitor and a double-dealer given his public show of support for the Former President and his America First agenda, only to speak despairingly behind his back.

McCarthy is set to return to his position atop the House of Representatives should Republicans enjoy the success they’re expected to in November.

Ultimately, the GOP (especially in the House) has completely fractured under McCarthy’s leadership. A growing coalition of America First candidates are constantly butting heads with the old guard RINOs — who seek to imprison Trump and plunge the U.S. into multiple foreign wars.

In May 2021, House Republicans voted to remove Cheney from her No. 3 spot in the conference, replacing her with Rep. Elise Stefanik. The New York Republican is rumored to be on the final list for Trump’s potential 2024 VP.
